next09 Conference
By Thorsten | Off Site | 2 Comments
Thanks to our successful submission for the next09 ticket pitch (by Sun’s Startup Essential Program) we will attend the next09 conference in Hamburg on May 05. This year’s next09 mantra “Share economy” perfectly matches our idea. So actually I’m wound up to a high pitch what we can get from the conference.
next09, Hamburg, Germany
The line-up and the agenda for the conference read quite interesting. Particularly I’m looking forward to Jeff Jarvis’ Keynote “The Great Restructuring”. Anyway, there were quite a couple of interesting lectures last year, and I’m sure there will be even more this year. Will let you know.

Death to Plug-ins, Javascript will save us all.
By Thorsten | Observations | No Comments
Meyer talked about the next web from a front-end engineering perspective at TheNextWeb Conference 09 yesterday in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He explained how JavaScript will help to build the next generation web on top of the web we look at today.
“Death to Plug-ins, Javascript will save us all.” said Eric Meyer. And, yes, at Gate 53|10 we fully agree. It’s almost not possible to imagine a state-of-the-art web service without intelligent Javascript. For the sake of usability.
